Kali: Well, well, it's been a long time! Looks like the little wolf pup finally found a body to call her own. And here I was hoping you had finally gotten yourself killed~

Mara: You're one to talk, you sick freak!

Kali: Aww, that's not very nice. You know, I wonder what she would say if she saw that you became the very monster she said you weren't, how sad she'd be I'm sure~

So I never mentioned it before but Kali and Mara actually hate each other...Like, a lot. These two should never, under any circumstances be anywhere near each other at any time.
Kali is actually the instigator here. When these two were still young, like, they didn't even have their human bodies young, Kali harassed and antagonized Mara incessantly and made fun of her every single chance she got.
Believe it or not, Mara was the one who minded her own business and just wanted to be left the hell alone.

The thing about this piece that I really like too is that Mara usually has this smug grin on her face and she's sarcastic and even kinda playful but this is one of those rare moments where she is dead serious and genuinely furious. And that only happens around Kali.
Also, if MARA is the one calling you a sick freak then you've got issues...MAJOR issues o_o;

Kali also likes to press buttons as you can see in their little exchange. Hmmm, who is this mysterious person Kali is talking about I wonder?
And who the heckles would be crazy enough to say that Mara wasn't a monster?
