I used to draw elepahants with hair when I went to highschool... somehow they're way more popular that way.

And also, baby elephants do have hair like this for a bit, goodness knows why! Protection from the sun maybe?

Reminds of this book I had as a kid about a girl who had a pet elephant that lived in her pocket and would eat the jam sandwiches her Mum made her to take to Nursery! ^^
