Description Having fun drawing in my sketchbook again, it's been a while. Top one is a possible double character design for my story.

Any sketch you guys would like to see coloured?

Love all of them!
I have a question, how do you keep your pencil sketches so clean and smudge free? (assuming these are pencil sketches...) I switched over to ball point pens to avoid smudging in my sketchbooks and while I love ballpoint pen I miss graphite pencil, any suggestions?

my teacher says that the reason drawings smudge is mostly because there is leftover graphite that didn't adhere to the paper, so when you pass your hand over it, it adheres where it shouldn't, creating smudges; he told me to get a thick brush to use as a broom on the paper as often as possible but i still haven't tried it out, though.

Thankyou!
Yes, these are pencil sketches. ^^ And the solution that I use for keeping pencil drawing/sketches clean is fairly simple. I use half of an A4 paper to rest my hand on as I draw, any regular A4 printer paper will do. This way you don't touch your drawing with your hand and smudge it (and also prevents oils from your skin to get into your drawing paper). If the A4 paper gets dirty, I usually grab a new one. With softer pencils it might be harder to keep the drawing safe so I also have a technique for holding my hand so that only my pinky leans on the paper. You can try for yourself what works best. And as a backup solution I have got a very good eraser so in the event of smudges I can erase them with ease. Hope this helps a bit!
