Description
Whenever my boyfriend does footy training I usually take a walk around the oval watching him and trying to amuse myself with whatever I can find. There are alot of trees and people like to take their pets for walks out there. When I'm bored I like collect these little wood chippings which have interesting patterns on them so I can cast them later. My boyfriend sometimes looks at me with wry amusement in his eyes but I kinda justify it by comparing it to people who collect seashells.

This one struck me as looking like a small tree so I pocketed it, made a copy of it in wax and hollowed it out so I could put two little birds in there. I turned it into a locket charm because at one point I wondered what kinda life the trees in the park would support.
