She resented me for how I haven’t made any effort to spend time with her. On top of that, now that we were finally going for a walk I didn’t even try to converse with her! But, you know what? Being able to know what everyone is thinking has taken away the intrigue of conversation for me.
    We walked in near silence. Ruka let out a comment now and then about something she spotted, but no substantial dialogue would pass between us. She soon gave up and submerged herself into her thoughts.
    She didn’t dwell on my cold behaviour for long, and a memory passed before her mind’s eye. A tingle of anger slithered between my shoulderblades as I too began to view the memory.

After school yesterday, Ruka accompanied my cousin Hana to her house. When they arrived, she was highly disappointed to find not her “mysterious, handsome” older brother -- but her rival for his love, Yuthika.
    Yuthika too was disappointed to see Hana's companion. “Oh... You’re friends with this girl?”
Hana smiled, “She’s my best friend!”
    But she was just Ruka’s person to hang out with…
    “Great. That means I have to babysit two babies today…” Yuthika rolled her eyes and chuckled at her own comment. “So, what do you guys even do together?”
    “We read sometimes and play imagination games.” My cousin chimed unashamedly.
    She laughed. “Seriously?… you guys are such losers!”
    Ruka watched this whole scene without offering any input. Every comment from the redhead’s mouth was an insult directed at her, and that last one struck a nerve so deeply it consumed her with a rage like she’d never felt. She hadn’t truly hated anyone up until this moment. Having a very hard time pretending not to be insulted, the only thing she could do to keep her cool was hold her tongue.
    Yuthika gave Ruka a contemptuous smirk then disregarded her all together. Shortly after, the target of those two girls’ affection came home and the night became a bitter competition fueled by jealousy and desperation…. It’s far too pathetic for me to share.
    I glanced over at Ruka when I'd had enough of her reflection. Anger that she was bottling up was boiling in the depths of her being. It was getting dangerously close to its spill point…

For Task 9, "Set Off"

This has been the most difficult task for me…. Ruka is a non-confrontational optimist so figuring out what sets her off took a lot of thinking…. in the end, I decided to write a story which was the best way of expressing it. The art piece was put off until the last minute. XD
So, this little excerpt is written from the point of view of Pushkari, who is Ruka's best friend and the narrator of the story... she has telepathic abilities.

How does she express anger?
Ruka isn’t very confrontational. She would rather endure most nuisances and make peace with a situation than stir up any trouble.  When she is angered, she usually masks it with a smile and stores it away in a bottle of repressed anger deep inside. She doesn’t hold grudges for long and keeps the lid of that bottle off, so it can evaporate over time… but when it accumulates so quickly, she’s bound to overflow. When that finally happens, she pours out the whole thing.... like, every single offence and insignificant annoyance she’s ever felt against you will be announced in an explosion of fury.

What makes her angry?
Being treated unjustly, or teased in any way (unless by a very close friend). Having her pride wounded. Abrasive, rude people.
