Ione doesn’t think highly of herself, and doesn’t see how precious she is. I hope she will know her worth, how valuable she is as a person. She’s worth more than she’ll ever know. Too many people have made her feel less than what she is, and she needs to be free from it. We need to leave this city as soon as possible.

Ione is so beautiful, especially in the moonlight. Thought I don’t see it often, when she smiles, it outshines the suns. Her eyes are mesmerizing. A powerful feeling always takes over me when she looks at me. It’s like she’s right beside me, even when she’s not. Her presence is always there.

She is also incredibly strong. After all that she has been through, she’s still fighting for a better life. Determined and driven, she is willing to do anything to save herself. Ione is inspiring. She makes me want to be better, to be a man that she can rely on. She supports me in everything, and is by my side no matter what. She’s powerful, though I’m not quite sure how. I just feel it when she looks at me…

The Setting
Ruins of Ragnarr is high stakes drama taking place in a fantasy world, mixing elements from dystopian societies and the old west.

Ragnarr is a fortress city on the plains, and the main setting of the first major arc of the story. There is great unrest within its walls and a civil war going on between the military class and rebellious citizens.
The city has solar and wind energy that provide electricity, mostly to the more affluent districts. It homes around 10k people, split into different districts depending on their class.

Located in the desert, living conditions are harsh and brutal. Wind and sand storms are a constant, with two suns bearing down in nearly unbearable heat. There are only three seasons- dry/windy, wet/stormy, and HOT. The coldest it ever gets is about 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10C), and can reach well into the 200's (90+) during the hot season. Three moons grace the night sky, each one with their own name and rotation.
There is a whole world beyond the city walls - but the land out there is no safer. The plains stretch on for miles and are devoid of accessible water sources. Most water resources are deep under ground, the river only breaching the surface in a few shadowed lowlands. Dangerous beasts congregate around those areas.

(we probably won't touch upon the warfare or brutal landscape during Ione's round, but ya'll should know a little about the horrible place she lives in. )

Backstory
Born in one of the poorest districts in Ragnarr, Ione never knew of any family. She grew up on the streets, surviving off of her own wits and the mercy of strangers. She seemed to have an uncanny way of persuading people to help her; a simple intense stare and she would be given what she wanted. It was not always easy, though, and she subjected herself to unspeakable things, enduring much in order to survive.

When she was a preteen, she was found by Ama, the owner of a brothel, and taken in to become one of her prostitutes. The older woman recognized Ione as a witch, being one herself, and trained her in the arts of magic and seduction. Ione learned better how to manipulate others and put them under her control.

Ione eventually becomes desperate to leave her situation, and prays to her moon in a magic ritual. She summons a man to save her, and three days later, Kado appears...

[ Witches exist in this world, but they are not common. It is believed that they came from the long extinct ocean. Ama is a learned witch, using blood for spells and incantations, while Ione's magic comes to her naturally and with little effort. Things react to her emotions, and people to her gaze. She puts forth intention, and that alone does great things for her. ]

- Ione is named after one of the moons. Io, the Wind Moon, 'the Daughter of Chaos.' Her power comes from it.

The guess who(s), explained:
- Ione & Kado are tied together by the red string of fate.
- Her eyes glow to show her magic, and Kado is surrounded by it... she both uses it on, and shares it with him.
- The red light = red light district, marking the building as a brothel.
- The woman behind her is Ama, her mother figure and owner. The blood on her lips is Kado's. She's not a vampire (though we have certainly compared her to one) - she is a witch, who uses blood in her magic. She is an extremely twisted, sadistic, and evil person...
- The tornado. Symbolically, it's a intense cyclone of emotions. Literally, it's a common natural phenomenon in the area (called "Nampeyo", the wind serpent). Ione's power also has an effect on the wind.
- The 2 moons (& 2 suns, on Kado's half) mark the setting as a fantasy world. The moon directly above Ione is her namesake moon & power source.
