Description
This is a picture of Konstantin Konstantinovic Rokossovsky after a hunting trip. It was on Pravda. Pravda means truth (I think). My question is what the hell is he holding up there? My guess is it's either a mutant turkey of some sort or the Firebird.
In Russian tales, the Firebird is a magnificent bird with wonderful plumage that can silence a forest by flying over it. Stravinski's "Firebird Suite" is based on this mythical creature, which is central in several Russian tales.
And he shot it.
Poor Firebird!
(But seriously, does anyone know what the hell that thing is?!?)
