the new algorithm affects everyone, but you're the only person i see cheating continuously to get on the front page. no matter what your argument is, you're cheating and taking up spots that should have been for other people who submit their art to the correct categories.

if you hated cheating then you wouldn't cheat wtf.
and you're the one who hasn't looked carefully. sakimichan/apofiss/yuumei all submit into the correct digital categories when you see their art on the front page. they get on there because they're incredibly popular and no matter what their art gets tons of views, which is what makes their works shoot directly to the front page.
the front page always has at least one spot for drawings in the anime/manga category, so saying you have 0 chance of getting up there is a lie. you do have a chance and like all the other people who draw anime/manga and submit it to the correct category, you should stop cheating and submit to the right category as well, making it fair for everybody. if your art is on the front page it should be because it is well deserved. not because you're a cheater.

getting recognition made me happy, let's say I was disposed to cheat and feel like a moron just to feel happy again :/
..sakimichan is often posting in designs and Interfaces> mascots and I've seen them switching repeatedly categories many times in these days! come on, I'm not imagining it! their artwork was always on the front poage, now they have to find the categories that work to submit to, too, or else they can't be there as much as the others can't!
getting up there and getting same recognition as before is 0, yes. and Fanart will always be at the bottom of the page so I have no chances of getting the recognition I did before! and I'm stopping cheating for sure because I'm tired of feeling like an idiot, because when I do it, it never works, and because as you said it's not even deserved and it's no fun.
so I guess I'll just be on hiatus until they fix it properly, if they ever do.

if you should submit art just for the sake of wanting it to get on the front page... that's what attentionwhores do. i seriously hope you draw for the sake of having fun while drawing and creating something you find beautiful. if not then that's just sad.
you already have a hundred times the recognition most people on this website will ever dream of having. being so desperate for more attention is not something you of all people should worry about.
trust me, you WILL survive and so will your art if you don't get on the front page every time you submit something. my guess is that if you keep submitting stuff to ridiculous categories, more people will call you out on it and it will gain you a lot of attention but also give you a bad reputation among a lot of people.

I draw because it's fun, now, I don't want to explain my further reasons which have to do with my personal background, but I also need things to be..as they were before, if not, being here just makes me feel sad and out of place, I'd rather leave than just making things worse.
I will survive but it won't make me happy (= I'm sorry, it's not really something I can change if I feel this way, so as I said, for now I'm out! being here was fun while it lasted.
(anyway I guess having bad reputation goes also for all those others who are cheating, no? but they're still doing it )
