This is Arlan, a sort of alter ego of 's Harlan in the collaborative world we've been making. We each design some of the other person's characters in the setting of the collab world, keeping in mind that these are the same characters under different circumstances and with different life experiences, so they would be both the same and different as people. That's why they've all been renamed using letters from their base characters' names. Any original characters we design for ourselves.

I did concept sketches for Lan here: [link] , and this is the finalized version. Let me know about any problems you notice, so I can try to fix them if I attempt to color this.

Like the sketches say, Arlan works as a VR artist for the top Virtual Submersion company, which is a huge deal, since he only recently graduated from the University. He is exceptionally gifted in the field, and he managed to gain enough of a reputation at school that the company snatched him up soon after graduation. He sometimes has issues with working for such a large company, generally preferring to follow his own artistic inspiration, but he needs to pay the bills and he'd prefer to make a living doing something he enjoys and is naturally skilled in. The frustration of always following someone else's vision gets to him sometimes, but at least he gets the perk of free access to the top equipment in his off time. What he actually does is design and create fully submersive virtual environments and everything in them by plugging himself directly into the equipment and manipulating everyting mentally. He and his fellow artists create everything, and a separate group of people bring it all to life, making it all move and behave as needed.
