Georgeous work on that one, thank you!
I simply adore the way you used the varied line widths and how handsomely my Beloved white wolf looks here and how gently I'm preening his fluff
And you finished it so soon I'm in awe! Β

Yeah, thank you ;D the line width thing isn't something people notice that much; it takes a long time, so I've tried to talk myself out of doing it, but I just like how it flows better. I'm happy you like how it turned out c: the posing was a bit of a struggle, since I had a mental image to fight with XD but it helped to be working with such nice characters

Or maybe they just don't mention it? I wanted to make such myself but I couldn't get into making them, I tried but the width variety I manage to make is minimal, the wider the more difficult and unnatural to work with it is to me... be it Vector or Pen in SAI... If you personally like the effect then probably you shouldn't give it up? Depends on how much do you feel it a part of your digital style, I personally have 3 line styles atm but one of them I not only hate working with but also feel it's least appealing in full size and I use it only when I feel like it.Β
Awww.. ^^ You were the first to draw that Kindred-inspired entity version If you consider liking them (for whatever, just designs, their bond or idk) enough to join the group dedicated to them: Draffectionates we'll be honoured if you did^^ (they're our alter egos but it's actually focused on featuring the art with them, not on us, it's all about a faithful shapeshifting couple

See cx I'm the kind whose brain sort of works the long-way sometimes? So, what I do here is draw the outline, then go over it with an eraser, and take a smaller brush and clean it up entirely until I'm happy with it. It's like drawing the same thing three times over |D and that's before I can even get any coloring done.
My digital style is still in development .3. I've only ever drawn digitally on an android tablet, so there are quite a few limiting factors, and it's stifling. I've been meaning to figure out how to use gimp, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I find it quite intimidating cx learning a new program is daunting, even if I think my style might improve from it in the long run.
In any case c: thank you for the comment; you interest is very strongly appreciated. Also, thanks for the invite |D but I'm afraid I have enough characters to juggle at the moment, without taking on someone else's; I wish you luck

Sonds kinda similar to what I do with strong thin linearts in Gimp... I resize the brush to 11 or 12 and draw over and over again and erase if necessary till the line looks clean, My method is so much hated by me I can't finish a project for which I used those lines D: Too much work and it's nto even worth it in my case (they never look truly clean to me)
Oh, I can feel you... when I finally received Photoshop I didn't face learning it (just tried to draw soem outlines fo rlike 1h and gave up D: )
If you're moving from a tablet like that to the proper screen and maybe a graphic tablet then this transition should help you, not sure abotu the program though, Gimp doesnt' allow that vector-like type of line with varied width, SAI is much better for lines like that, at least I believe so
Oh, that's all allright if you don't want to
