I firmly believe that each night, before you got to sleep, your should be able to positively answer the question: "Am I a better person today than I was yesterday?", otherwise you wasted a day. But not only should we work toward that goal as individuals but also as society as a whole. Which is why you should never be required to ask for help of improvement, the same way you should never be required to ask for help when you fall down.

Even before it became my motto, I always enjoyed learning new things and finding ways to improve what I already know.
During my lunch breaks I read game design related articles, like post-mortems or discussions and interviews. In the evenings I check what new art tutorials showed up on Pinterest in my feed.
Just before I started typing this comment I finished reading the Q&A Equestria Daily had with Supervising Director Jayson Thiessen - it might seem insignificant in grand scheme of things, but like I said, I enjoy learning new things even if it is not something immediately useful to me.

Oh I've been working on it for a while, trying the shading that best fits it, so I kinda lost track of how long it took. There were several versions, but they all didn't appeal to me, so I re-worked all of them. Anyways, glad u like it!
