Description
This is my submission for monthly theme. For this month we had: Fly Me A Snowflake
I checked a lot of 50s winter pictures to see what they had done already - and to get a vintage posing model as well
I think they are fabulous. They are so tiny, fragile and still such gorgeous constructed little things... It's amazing in which variety they come. I love snowflakes - even wrote a story about one
I decided on another dress. This time I didn't do the version without the jacket. She's freezing allready with her naked legs...
I wanted to do a light blue skirt and do a snowflake pattern in different shapes and colors. The jacket has some faux fur on it with little white snowflakes, but I'm not sure you can see them.
And I wanted to have a bright color to pop out from the rest of the design - so I decided on red. She's got some red buttons on her jacket and red shoes.
I think the light blue colors combined with the white resembles the snowflakes perfectly. It's pure and cold and the pattern is like a sparkle. The fur on the jacket is the softness of the snow. I think I failed in the (snowflake-)construction part... Who cares. I'm quite satisfied with the result^^
Enjoy.
Edit: I won!

I love the vintage look and I think the snowflake detail in the fur is very creative. I like the idea of it. I think if this was made in real life, you would be able to see the snowflakes a lot easier because they would sparkle and reflect light. I love the red you put in there. I think it's important not to be too matchy-matchy. A lot of times it makes it much more visually appealing if you're not.

Thanks a lot. Yeah, I wanted to go astray from the matchy-matchy styling I'm used to^^
