It's a long shot but I'm joining in the protest of Eclipse being permanent and the site retiring the old format that everyone's used to for over two decades. Yeah I know change is sometimes needed but the design and buggy usage of Eclipse is just shit. Could have been done better if the executives at WiX weren't too busy wiping their asses with dollar bills.
Again, long shot but there's a petition to stop Eclipse in being forced. By far, it's working with the numbers so hopefully we can reach up to one million. Maybe even more. Go and sign it if you want to help stop Eclipse: www.change.org/p/deviantart-teβ¦

My main issue is making the original look no logner avalible. I'm sure some like the new look, that's fine. But why throw out the old one? There's literally 0 reason to do so.

Throwing out the old one over a new design would have worked if they worked HARDER on it! Or hell, make it LOOK like it's a dA site. Something like this:
