Here are my two babies, Alicia, and her guardian Rafter. They're both vampires.

EDIT: So, Rafter comes from another dimension that only contains vampires (there's a reason for that, and how the vampires came into exsistance in the first place, but I'm not gonna get into that.) Sometimes, the vampires would cross into our regular human world, and drink some of the human's blood. Crossing into the human world is illegal, but that doesn't stop some trouble making jerkholes who want a quick snack. The problem is, if a vampire bites a human, drinks their blood, but doesn't kill them, the human would end up turning into a vampire cause of their bite. This is EXTREMELY bad news for the vampires in the vampire dimension, cause that might lead to the humans finding out about it. So, there's a special team of vampires that are hired to go out into the human dimension and kill the humans that have turned into vampires. (they do this the traditional way, by staking them in the heart, decapitating them, or burning them) Rafter was a part of this team, and was hired to kill a human who had been bitten by one of his own delinquent relatives. But, when he went out to kill him, he just couldn't bring himself to do it, especially since he felt partially responsible for it since it was his relative who turned the human. So, Rafter befriended this human, named Clark, and took him under his wing to show him the ropes of how to be a vampire. About a year later, Clark got married and had a little girl named Alicia. Rafter was worried about this, since Clark's daughter was a half vampire, and if the vampires from the vampire dimension found out, they'd definitely be after both of them. Clark assured him that everything was going to be fine, but Rafter insisted on leaving so that he could try and drive the other vampires out of the area he lived in to keep Clark and Alicia safe. Clark reluctantly agreed, and Rafter disappeared for nine years. After that, the vampires from the dimension found out about Clark and Alicia, and invaded their home immediately to kill them. Rafter knew about this, and tried to get there to warn them, but once he got there, Clark was dying and Alicia was about to be killed. Rafter managed to save her, and Clark told Rafter with his last dying breaths to take Alicia, and teach her how to me a vampire the same was he taught him. Rafter agreed to his friend's dying wish, and now takes care of Alicia as her rather over protective guardian.
