Oh cool, you're going to be doing 3D models of them?

I plan to do the main characters, I already have the first idea for a short video clip ^^

That's great! I make and animate 3D models, and I thought briefly about doing something like this, but I start too many projects and don't finish enough of them, (don't we all? xD) so I decided not to. It's good to know that you're going to do this.
What program are you using for this? I'm not sure about them all, but I know Blender has a post-processing option that automatically outlines the 3D models, and material settings that can be adjusted to render very similar shading to the type used in GenRex.
Either way, I'm excited to see what you make, if your mangas are anything to go by, it'll be great!

I will be using Autodesk Maya, I have a teacher for this program) According to her, this program makes a wonderful quality of color, light, shadow and form, in fact, for animation this program is good more than a blender. I can see what form must have characters, I want to make them perfect as in official 3D movies, for example as big hero 6 ^^
Of course it's will be difficult for me, but imagination of the result and finished works will makes me want to do more and more >w< !!!!!

Oh, that's nice! Do you plan on using the original shading/outlining style, or the non-outlined style with more realistic shading that 3D animation tends to use? Either way sounds good, although I'd suggest being cautious if you're going for the more realistic style. Some things in the GenRex game kinda went into the uncanny valley with the more realistic style it used. O.o
Also, if there's an option to render individual frames as images and then put them together as a video file, I'd suggest using it. xD Blender has 2 rendering engines; an internal engine, and a more realistic engine called Cycles. Cycles actually renders about the same quality of realism as professional programs like Maya. 1 second could take about 16 hours to render, so I guess be prepared for that
All in all it's going to take a looooong time to start animating, I've been using 3D software for 4 years, but I've only recently been doing animations longer than a few seconds. But with determination, you can make it happen.
Hehe I like how you used Big Hero 6 as an example, since its story came from Man of Action. xD
My sister and I like to point out random similarities between BH6 and GR, like how in the first scene Tadashi is in he asks Hiro basically the same things César asks Rex. And he's also taking his brother away from where he was. xD And of course there's the flying mechanical fist. xD
And Baymax and and nanites were both for medical purposes and worked on by the main characters' brothers, and there there tiny machines in both... I'm going to stop there before I write a huge list of every single similarity I found. xD
Wow, now this is a rant. Oops...

Working with color in Maya a little bit like Photoshop, where I usually work, I know what settings I need to do to achieve the desired effect. Also I have no difficulty to use textures similar manner^^. I'll have the usual trend of 3D animation, because it looks natural and, honestly, I have no desire on improvisation. Most likely I will implement exactly cartoon style, since the realism can spend even more time.
I have two enough powerful a computer with graphics cards, which accelerate the processes of rendering, so I do not need to wait too long). I understand that the blender has the features, but I'm still going to use professional program, because if I want to realize my dream, then I will use everything possible.
I also know that a man of action wrote a story and I was very happy to see this film in the cinema <3 This film prompts me to make the same things, and I also noticed a lot of similarities with Generator Rex, which make me delight! Despite the fact that this film was modeled and animated by Disney, it's very remarkable example of how I need to define Generator Rex style in 3D projection.

Ah, it's always good to have a powerful computer for things like this, good to know you have one. That gets rid of some causes of burn-out on a big project like this. xD
I just mentioned Blender in my last comment since it's the closest thing to Maya that I have used before, I'm pretty sure that using Maya for this is a better choice than using Blender, anyway. Especially since you already know how to use Maya, learning to use a different program would be kind of pointless. xD
I did find it interesting that in Big Hero 6, a lot of the character designs do look Man-of-Action-styled, even though the models were done by Disney.
Haha I guess it is a good reference to use when making 3D models for Generator Rex animations. xD

I want to ask something How you doing with the second manga ?

SunyFan In reply to AdamKra23 [2015-08-10 11:05:46 +0000 UTC]
First I make little sketches in the form of frames, then I choose best picture and doing detailed drawing in page's "panels/columns". Next I make a correction in Photoshop, adding lighting effects and clarity lines.
At the end I put the text that gives me a great friend from USA, who makes a perfect translation for my manga! <3

Sometimes it's hard to build a perspective beneath the image of the character and figure in a difficult turn/rotate, in such cases, I use plasticine figures, thanks to them I can to feel, how to arrange the form in space
