Here's the idea: Kovu ran to warn Kopa that Zira was going to kill him. Zira was about to make one more strike on Kopa then Kovu jumps in and protects him.Zira: Kovu? What are you doing?
Kovu: Leave my friend alone Zira!
Kopa: Kovu is that you?
Kovu: It's okay buddy. I'm here.
Zira: Get out of my way Kovu!
Kovu: NO! Why are you even doing this?
Zira: To show Simba how it feels to lose someone you love just like how he killed Scar. And you should be home training to kill Simba and avenge scar.
Kovu: I DON'T CARE!!!
Zira: What did you say?
Kovu: Scar is not my father! He never was. I know you want revenge on Simba but killing his son that's to far. Plus he's my best friend and I won't let you hurt him or worse.
Zira: So in the end you betray your own pride. Betray Scar! If this is how it is Kovu. I'll have no choice but to kill you first.
Kovu: So be it.
