We call them tortoiseshells - have only just come upon this description (calico) in a book recently and now here. I did have a kitten about two years ago who was a tabby tortoiseshell that is: ginger, black and white stripes. She was called Winky and had a really sad sweet face, and very knowing at a very young age. Died with parvo virus. Won't go into details but I still carry the sadness.

Aww I am sorry for your loss. I have lost a good few cats over the years I know how heart wrenching it is. I love 3 coloured Calico cats they are said to be lucky or bring luck into the house and are mostly only female but I read recently that there has been a Calico kitten found that´s a boy so a rarity in the cat world. Thankyou that´s so nice of you to say, I´m not perfect at it, there are some artist on here who are just awesome, but I enjoy drawing and painting so much I can lose myself in it for hours.
If you enjoy it then keep practising, buy yourself tutorial books, they normally have lots of tips and information on how to improve. Keep at it, practise makes perfect
