this is my entry for this week's Metrosketchual blog, this week's theme being the Crow.I grew up on Marvel & DC, so I missed the Crow in his heyday. But, I was a fan of the original film with the late Brandon Lee, and I always dug the general dark style of the character. I wanted to go a lot looser with this drawing than I normally do (been reading a lot of comics by Sean Gordon Murphy & John Buscema), so this was a fun one to do!

Man I love the Crow... paid what seemed a small fortune for the O'Barr book when I was in high school. I really hope they do a new "Good" series one day soon.

The heavy inks and expression in his face really shine on this, Joe. I came to be a fan of the Crow in the same way you did, and the metrosketches this past week make me want to go and watch the flick and check the comic out.

This is fantastic! Sketchy but clean.
I love The Crow as played by Brandon Lee. Although I'm depressed every time I watch it.... What with the death of Lee and what not.
