Like *HerrHaller and ~B0rrach0 said, the eyes keep jumping around, looking for a place to rest; it seems as though the tables and buildings are pointing towards the crowd of people, trying to tell the view that it is busy, yet beautiful. Even if there's no clear subject, it's still a very nice shot. You really captured how busy Amsterdam is, whether that was intentional or not, and the composition strengthens that, to a point.
Overall, I really like this. c:

Thank you very much! Yea there was some distortion, I was using an extra wide lens with no auto focus, which i have tried to reduce with minor cropping, but I didn't to change the picture too much. lol

I agree about the composition, my eyes keep looking around randomly for a subject. Still, Amsterdam is Amsterdam, a busy place so tricky to capture properly.

Very recognizable. I knew this was Amsterdam the second your image appeared on my screen, you've clearly captured the essence of the city (though I'm not sure what it is about this image that conveys Amsterdam so strongly - no, it's not the coffeeshop

In terms of composition your very right, I never really had a lot of time to compose, actually I was trying to grab a picture of that little red delivery truck and didn't have much time as it suddenly decided to make a turn in its race to make a delivery, at least I think thats what it was doing lol I was just glad I got it, while managing to get people in the restaurant and streets.
