Here is G1 Soundwave, Beast Wars style. Appropriately, his beast-mode is a bat (and a purple one at that). Not only do bats use sound waves to hunt, but this picture also makes a slight nod to G1 Ratbat as well

Intriguing idea; there is one issue, though.
In the Beast Wars line, the heroes beast modes are modeled after mammals, birds and (in some cases) fish; while the villain's beast modes are modeled after reptiles, amphibians and arthropods.
Now since bats are mammals, a transformer with a bat for a beast mode would undoubtedly be a maximal - or autobot - whatever.
Still a nice picture, though.
