Even if they were at the same size, Sharptooth would die just by approaching to Big-G. Godzilla has an aura of radiation, anything that comes closes, gets infected by it, and dies instantly if it's not strong enough to tank it. Many kaiju can't resist this aura, but any normal living being can't.
