I don't know. She was just another tool for Katherine, right? Katherine needed her to get the device from Elena and Damon and use it. If Isobel would die in the process, I don't think Katherine would mourn her decedent.

I watched The Sorcerer's Apprentice and I like it the ending was a bit clichΓ©, but the movie was funny, there were some awsome wizard-fights in it and a lot of special effects.
