i've seen plenty of mixed native americans walking around to tell the difference,i''m very aware of interracial marriages amongst- non native people.. but not every tribe mixed with whites...
i've seen awhole lot of white wannabes dancing at pow wows/going to cultural events/ect it certainly speaks for volumes. but none the less it is a very nice photo

I'm happy you enjoyed the photo !!!!!! It's possible that maybe there are more mixed marriages amongst the Eastern Tribes than the Western ones , I don't know . She does look White to me too !!!!!! The only thing I had to go by was what the announcer said at the beginning of the Pow Wow and that was that only Natives could dance in the circle till others were invited , and she was there from the start . It's the only Pow Wow I've been to and maybe others are different , or have different rules . I hope to go to another one and learn more about the Pow Wow's themselves , but also more about all the Native American tribes !!!!!! There was one gentleman there who actually looked African American who was decked out in full costume . I have a couple of images of him posted here . Where I live , I don't know any Native Americans nor was I raised around any , so I'm lacking in my knowledge . You seem to have much more experience and knowledge than me . I just wish I could have asked her what tribe she was a part of . That would have solved the dilemma !!!!!!

There are alot of mixed First Nations people around. I'm Alaskan Indian and I have cousins that look just like her. I also live next to a reservation here in WA. She looks like them as-well. She could be full or close to. Hard to tell.

You can never judge a book by it's cover . Not everyone looks ethnic . There are many tribes of native Americans , and many have had interracial marriages along the way . My understanding of this Pow Wow was that in order to dance in the circle , you must be native American . Only at the end do they invite others to participate . She may only be 1/6 Native American , I don't know , I didn't talk to her , but rest assure , she has some Native American blood , even if she looks white , or she wouldn't have been allowed to dance .

If she is Native American I know how se feels, I'm a mut and look alot more like a tan or dark white man than Native myself.

It was my understanding that because of the religious nature of the dance circle , anyone who danced , before everyone else was invited to dance , was Native American . They didn't saw how much Native American you had to be though . I often wonder if there are many , if any full blooded Native Americans around still ? I get asked that a lot , is she Native American because she doesn't look like it . I'm not sure someone has to "look" ethnic to be ethnic !!!!!! Besides , it's what you feel in your heart that matters !!!!! If you have the blood , no matter how much , and you feel in your heart that you're Native American , then you are and who's to say otherwise !!!!!!

Yes Ma'am , she is very Pretty !!!!!!! Well , from what I understood , to be able to dance , you had to have Native American blood . At the end of the pow wow , they invited everyone to come out and participate , but you did have to wait till you were invited !!!!! So I assume she does have some Native American blood !!!! I didn't get to talk to her or any of them , I just shot photos

I was taking a photo class and there was a contest involved with the pow wow which the school was informed of . I didn't shoot it for the contest but for class assignments . It's also the type of photography I enjoy doing !!!!!!

I didn't get to talk to her to ask , but from what I remember , only Native Americans can dance durring the ceremony . No one else was allowed to be in the circle till the end of the pow wow when invited !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This pow wow was also many different tribes and many Native Americans have mixed blood . She might be only 1/10th Native , I don't know .
