I've always felt many superheroines must be suffering from severe and permanent "wedgies" - your drawing solidifies this theory with the prominent buttfloss.
If you're frustrated with negative space, one rule I've lived by that seems to work for me is Unification of spaces. If there is a color or value (or really any other element) in the positive space of a work, to help complete the image, the color (or other thing) should also be included in the negative space. It helps bind the piece as a whole.
