I always thought Lewa was the Toa of Nature. Maybe because his color is green.

Nice looking machine gun esque arm going on. One of my favorites.

Ah yes, the gen one pew-pew hands. You have done them justice.

A very serious and cool look for one of the most cheerful of the Toa.

This is prolly one of the coolest, if not THE coolest Lewa fanarts ever!

Very good one for my favorite Toa. The wings do help with his powers over wind, and his Mask of Levitation too.

Pretty badass. Never really pictured the original Toa with high-tech equipment like guns and jetpacks though.

Gaah he was my favorite in G1 >u<
I never got into the later series and I think this revision does him way better justice than later designs did.

I also like Lewa G1 the best, but still I have most of series up until Metro Nui.
Thank youΒ

Still awesome, though. That along with the jet pack and the battle axe give him a real space marine feel.

Well it is my own revision, but besides that, I always felt that if they wanted to give him a hand why wouldn't they use the same hand types as Tahu and Pohatu?

It's the same type of connector pieceΒ
but lewa/s fingers is longer than the others

Badass! The art style and redesign shows the hardcore depth of the story- which wasn't always so obvious on the surface
You doing the rest of the team too?

First I have other toys I want to remaster, but after that, I might just do a few of my favorites.Β
But yeah, I really do like the story, it would be nice to parallel the lore with this quality of art.Β

Didn't they end up cancelling it because the story was getting way too brutal and unfriendly for Lego?
It even had a DC comic series for it with a really cool art direction, which I regret not getting into back then:Β d1466nnw0ex81e.cloudfront.net/β¦

Yeah I collected the DC comics, but I only read them till the Takanuva and the golden mask story arc ended.
Still I prefer some of the original Mata Nui pc web browser flash based games for lore and the short animations for cutscenes.Β

Oh yeah, some of the original included a mini disk with them for that
The animations were awesome. Mahri one was my personal fave

Dang man, you just reminded me about those mini disks! I had forgotten all about those. I had collected a bunch. Good times.

haha funny because in the story they made the masks out of disks

I legitimately have never been so quick to favorite an image. Also, I'm not actually a fan of the humanization/androidization of bionicles but holy crap, I couldn't care less right now.
Absolutely epic depiction. He wasn't my first bionicle (that was a bohrok-va) but he was my second and first toa.
Again, ecellent work. I'm sure no one would complain if you did this for some of the other toa. Just a thought

Thanks! I would have thought there would be a larger art base for the old bionicles since most of the people on DA grew up with them
I guess some of us are bigger fans than others

Those air-cannon fingers... That said, I love the torso work in particular here. It translates theΒ set pieceΒ into a workable-looking body without losing the important forms of the piece.

I'm really glad now that I wasn't the only one that thought his fingers were big guns with heat shielding back when I was little. Maybe it was overexposure to Ultimate Doom that put "currogated metal = gun" into my head lol
