You did a great job on that, the Doctor should of been thinking that and Rose and the Doctor are ment for each other. Not even RTD can stop that as long there are people out there who do stuff like this and keep them together.

I dunno... I've made my point over at OG (that I don't think Reinette or the Doctor are monogamous... and that Rose is monogamous, which the Doctor should be aware of and why Rose should have smacked him upside the head) Reinette didn't know about Rose at this point and even when she did I think Reinette would have happily shared him with Rose but Rose is just not wired up the right way for polyamory (except MAYBE with Captain Jack).

Well with Rose is was love first, sexual attraction later. With adult Reinette it was sexual attraction (and respect for her smarts) first which could have developed into love later, possibly. Which is perhaps why he wanted to take Reinette along with him.
I think another reason the Doctor seems to be so... hot... for Reinette is possibly down to the fact that David Tennant and Sophia Myles are together (I not sure if they were at the time of TGitF filming) and as a result of this the Doctor/Reinette chemistry is to some extent genuine attraction on the actors' parts... I'm not saying that DT didn't find Billie attractive, but the impression I've gotten in interviews is that he sees her more as one of his best mates. So the emotions that were coming across on the screen may have been more DTs than the Doctors...
This doesn't explain the writing tho', personally I think it was Moffet screwing with Rose-Doctor shippers on purpose. I love Moffet but he seems to like to tease us.
