My bike ride up the Li River near Yangshuo, China took me into a dreamworld. It was like traveling back in time, surrounded by rice paddies, primitive huts, and farmers on pink bikes driving cattle.kevin thom photographer

Great shot Kevin, nice clean scene. Great layers to the shot as well, solid foreground element with motion in it, then the donkey and bridge with its leading lines taking you right into the background...that's composition and timing for ya!
Question...how are you correcting for lens distortion in post? And are you getting vignetting? I need to get my 5d's shots looking like this, I've gotta take some tips from ya on post production hehe.

I'm using PT Lens to correct distortion, but there really isn't much to do. Actually, most times I forget! As for vignetting, I try to shoot with good lenses that don't suffer vignetting. Sometimes I'll add some fake vignetting with PT Lens if I feel it helps isolate the subject though

Wow. The mountain landscape is gorgeous! I bet there would be amazing hiking there. The haze over the mountains definitely gives them a dream like quality. You're lucky to have had the opportunity to go there. I wound have been nervous riding around those cows though, one swish of the tail or well placed kick......
