Waluigi Arc: This arc will always be a classic and a GOAT. It looked into a solid theme of rejection, Waluigi was an amazing villain who posed a great threat, its meta in a good way. Tari was a great inclusion and it concluded the chapter of Saikos arc where she officially joins the SMG4 gang. I also think WOTFI worked best in this arc, fitting great with Waluigi’s goal while also being kinda funny since it’s also SMG4 and this is an SMG4 arc nonetheless. 10/10 easily

The Genesis Arc: This was the arc that got me back into SMG4 during my at the time drop (and thank god I’m back now lol). I thought the lore building was super cool and it gave us SMG1 and 2, which I know a couple guys were wondering who they were previously. The steaks felt real and victory didn’t come without a price (RipAxol). Zero was an amazing villain, as powerful as he is he also relied on intelligence and manipulation of others to perform his dirty work and I’m pretty sure nobody saw his true motives coming. Plus it had both a WOTFI and the 10 year anniversary in it, so it has a special place for video wise. The only things I didn’t like as much were the retcons and that WOTFI felt kinda out of place for this arc particularly, though I never cared about classic lore and idk what else they would’ve for the finale of this arc so I can’t go too hard on it. 9.5/10 for me

The Anime Arc: From one arc that changed all of SMG4 to the next, kind of a common theme with the top 3 lol. The anime arc was a lot darker than the other arcs from a tone standpoint, say for debatably the Genesis arc, though this arc was dark in the sense of “serious situation” whereas Genesis was more dark in a horror aspect. The anime arc had mostly good episodes and did a great job building Meggy’s character further. I liked Axol before his death and think he’s underrated to this day. I thought Francis’s motive was a little lame but that aside he was pretty menacing and was tough to defeat. It had the best pacing of the arcs and one of the more engaging stories, especially ever since The Splatfest Incident, and it had the third best finale to an arc imo

The only issue I have is that it rushed Desti, her death was still heartdropping but the more I think about the more I think her death could’ve worked better if SMG4’s buildup episodes to the arc had given Desti and her rivalry with Meggy any actual attention. I mean compared to the Genesis Arc, I though Axol’s death was much better handled than Desti’s, since Melony and Axol as a duo were great. Other than than that, I think it’s great. 9.5/10

The Lawsuit Arc: Not great like the top 3 but still pretty good. I do think it had some wasted potential, it probably should’ve had a couple episodes between the cast dying and WOTFI happening as opposed to just one, and the finale probably shouldn’t have been WOTFI, and I find it very strange that what is clearly a world steaks arc only has Mario, SMG4, Luigi and Meggy as the main team, with Bob and Boopkins being slightly more important cameos at best

But for what it is I like it. The concept is interesting and does a good job showing the in universe effects of a channel being under threat by Nintendo copyright, it even brought back Inkling Meggy for an episode (for a minute I almost thought this was gonna be the fan service arc). It put Mario and Meggy back in a friendship that actually felt like they were still friends, which, if you’re one of the 6 people who read by status update, you know I am well beyond happy about cause I hated their 2021-early 2022 dynamic(a lot). Lawyer Kong was menacing in a different was, he was both smart and powerful via being a lawyer and having law powers. And as much as I know many of us would’ve preferred an actual court case for the finale, you have admit, that Rap was another level of fire. So overall a good deal of wasted potential here and there, but still a solid arc nonetheless. 8/10

Bob Arc: It’s just a solid arc. I thought the character building/analysis for Bob was great and most of the episodes were good, and the whole deal with Bob manipulating everyone and making himself famous does seem super realistic. It made somehow made Bob & Boopkins even better of a duo than they already were, which is high praise. Yeah I could’ve done with a little more rapping in what’s supposed to be a rapper arc, but overall just a good arc about a good character. 8/10

The Revelations Arc: Not much to say about this one either, say for the movie. I thought the school aspect was a little boring and that Meggy was underutilized. I get that she’s usually overused and all, but the arc did sell us on Meggy and Melony going to college and made her an afterthought. I’m neutral on the lack of buildup to the movie, since on one hand it felt out of nowhere and made it less coherent, but on the other hand that’s what made the twist so good in my opinion. In hesitant to even call The God Box an arc villain in all honesty

Though I did still like things about it too. I did like that SMG4&3 were learning their meme powers from SMG1&2 at college, which made their involvement in the arc not out of nowhere. The Revelations Movie was just perfect, it’s my favorite movie of the year (yes even more than Top Gun, The Batman, and Wakanda Forever, fight me). It gave Zero backstory and I can see why he was the way he was. Melony as a character had a very good arc that made her one of my favorite SMG4 characters, and the movie gave Mario one of his best moments imo (him telling Niles to let Melony go). So overall a solid enough arc, but the movie carries big time. 7/10

The YouTube Arc: I loved the character building for SMG3, who was also a great villain here btw. Some of the anti-cast were good and memorable. It was meta and fun. I thought the WOTFI finale worked good here and it fit’s because this arc is about SMG4 vs SMG3, and WOTFI is a tradition for the channel, so it fits super well imo. I liked Mario saving everyone, it’s one of Mario’s best scenes imo

Though I don’t feel like the title of the arc is correct, for the “YouTube” arc it was more about SMG4&3 than YouTube itself. I also lost interest after “It’s Not SMG4???” because I thought that was the ending. I get it was meant for SMG3 to fool SMG4, and for what it’s worth I think it tricking me proves it worked, but still. I also thought some of the anti-cast was unexplored even to this day. Not a bad arc but definitely my least favorite. 6.5/10
