Teen Titans: Raven
The dress is made by making a tube shape with spandex and sewing up the sides and top. I had to take in the side after to make it form fitting. Then i cut a neck hole and added a collar.
The belt has a foam base with thermal plastic heated and shaped over a plastic ornament. The belt front/buckle was drawn on foam cut out, and then thermal plastic was applied. It was covered in gesso, sanded, and then spray painted. The belt is connected using jewelry rings.
Boot cover were made by taping up one leg, cutting off tape and making a pattern out of my tape cast. The spandex after sewn was glued to the shoes. Thermal plastic covers the seam. The cut out has peach colored tuile sewn in to keep shape. There's clear straps in the back to keep them from falling. Attaches to corset
The "gloves" were made by measuring my arm width and then cutting out the desired width subtracting an inch so it was snug. I then cut around the hand so it sits correctly.
The cape was made with a modified pattern, the hood i drafted from scratch. All french seems, and hand sewn on the hem to hide seem work.
I also made a corset to wear under the dress. It has a small magnet in the front to connect to the belt to prevent shifting!
