Because I felt like it ^^ i'm into Pokémon lately
So pluplush goes Pokémon!
choose some of my fave pokémon although I failed at some pokémons because they didn't quite fit in the basic pluplush shape (like Haunter) DxMade in Illustrator

Was reading some of these comments here, and I'm 99% sure you can sell these as actual plushes, as long as you state that you do not own the pokemon themselves. After all, I've bought several plushes, buttons, amigurumis, pins, charms, etc. of Pokemon and other anime / manga characters. At a convention, and from here. I'm sure you're more than fine.
If you do decide to make these actual plushes, please let me know!

Sorry to be dropping in, but when it comes to something like that I don't think there are copyright issues necessarily c:
People sell fanart, people commission artists to draw fanart, and if you look around dA, there are lots of people who make and sell Pokemon merchandise or other fan works
takes commissions to make Pokemon sculptures and sends them to the person and has not run into issues, and I know of an artist who makes Totoro plushes and keychains and sells them on Etsy, along with Pokemon themed headphones
If you wanted to make Pokemon plushes, I say go for it, or google up info or questions about copyright and fanwork :3

indeed you are right! but i thought fanart was another matter than plushies:/
indeed i also saw people make pokemon crafts and selling them but i also saw other artists making stuff and then claiming in the artist comment they wouldn't sell it because of copyright so i thought i shouldn't either Dx
I once looked op copyright issues with animes and such and it said anime's don't mind fanart and fanfic.
Overall I think it's okay when you have a little DA shop, but when it gets really big i think "pokemon" wouldn't like me making money on their project. And i just looked it up but i can't seem to find anything about it :/ just art, fanfic and site content, but i can't find anything about self made pokemon merchandise :/

Well as far as I know, fanart is depicting a copyrighted character the artist does not own, so plushes to me are the same as fanart c:
Well, I don't mean to be rude badgering you, but if it's a chance for you to enjoy making something AND getting money out of it for your efforts I'd like to help out, and I found this artist =Allyson-x and she also makes Pokemon plushes and hats and other non-Pokemon merchandise, she has lots in her gallery [link]
In the Artist Comments she points out that the character/Pokemon is owned by Nintendo as well, so it shows the artist is not claiming ownership of the character, and are only selling their own work, and watching different Pokemon groups I saw all sorts of Pokemon stuff people were selling, plushes, pillowcases, keychains, yadda yadda
I think it's okay, and none of these artists on dA have been contacted by Nintendo or anything
And another way to look at it is if you make plushes through commission, you're merely being paid to make someone what they wanted, just like fanart artists are being paid to draw what people want, there's no claim of ownership involved so I think it's all good. I understand your hesitance and won't bother you any further about this, but I think you should give it a shot c:
