i meant as in using it to base the drawing off for more complicated poses, not as in a pixel base or whatever.

How did you get the dark edges in MMD

It's not an effect, they were drawn manually. The point of this tutorial is to show how to get painting like images by:
1) creating picture in MMD
2) redrawing picture in editing program of choice (paint tool sai recommended)
3) merging the two pictures together (used the Overlay layer mode in Sai)and add a few adjustments in Photoshop.

I know about that, but I'm referring to the picture in step 1. I just thought those dark edges were an effect.

You can chanche color of the edge lines in MMD ether, IDK how far it works for .pmx files fowever...

I can talk but its not perfect when I must read, there are many words IDK, with talking I can talk around those ^^.

I think its a later editing, however ther is MME to make so.

Unless the effect you're referring to is Color_Adjust_Blue?

Oh, I'm sorry. No, they weren't. The effects in the first picture were Diffusion 7, SSAO_Lite, Autoluminous 2, and KHEF. Standard effects.

Ooops, I didn't realize that the gradient is what you wear talking around. The effect is KHEF and it comes with the MMD Model Mariel.
