It's not so much a tutorial as it is a showing of how a particular piece in my gallery looked throughout the development stages from sketch to final product. (the actual final product doesn't have a bg, but the snow shows very well with a black background)I'm not sure if it's useful or not but if it gives you the idea of my process then great, if not, have lots of Pikachus. XD

I was always giving up on base color part since it looked pretty weird to me, but this gave me different image on that.

I wonder how you got overlays to be so bright in the second colored step When I use them they make very little difference.

I tend to get iffy on using colors besides the regular greyscale like I always use. I need to work on that haha

You can't really teach anyone to shade. You can explain the basics, but they have to feel. Great work.
