Description
It was a normal day, just like any other since Casey and Donnie were living together. Well, at least they thought it was going to be a normal day. Casey was training with his team, ‘The New York Rangers’ and Donnie was on patrol tonight.

Donnie was jumping over the different rooftops, like a shadow in the night. But once Donnie jumped over the space of an alley, his attention got caught by a loud bang. It sounded like a dumpster being slammed shut? When he turned his head to see what was going on he only just caught a glimpse of a figure running away. The genius jumped down using a fire escape to take a closer look.

A small noise seemed to be coming from the inside of the dumpster. Was that? No, it couldn’t be…and yet… His eyes widened in shock, it was a (human) child, maybe just a few days old. It was wriggling in discomfort on top of the trash bags, wearing nothing more then a diaper. It wasn’t making any noise, and to Donnie, it also seemed very weak. This was noticeable by it’s condition, very skinny and pale, and without proper care, the baby wouldn’t make it.

Donnie softly took the child into his arms, looking around when he started thinking what he would do. An important question was running through his mind, would he take it with him? A small sigh left his lips as he took a safer grib around the child before he made his way to the rooftops once again, rushing back to their home.
