Old yet formidable, the F-4 flies among blue and purple skies of Tal in all but one of the planet’s air forces. One of these is the Confederation of Reono, who operates the second largest fleet on Tal.

The F-4F ICE (Top) is an upgraded version of the German F-4F with AIM-120 AMRAAM capability. 36 F-4F ICEs were ordered during the First Border War to replace lost squadrons. They are mainly used in ground attack, though they do see some interception roles.

The F-4ER (middle) was an indigenous upgrade based on the YF-4E, the F-4RE inherited the fly by wire technology and forward canards of the aforementioned aircraft. Another upgrade was the use of the AN/APF-68 radar on the F-16 for superior targeting. The final upgrades are from the Hellenic F-4E AUP.

The F-4S VSW (Bottom) is based on an upgrade for the RAF and FAM, and eventually the USN and USMC. One squadron of F-4S VSWs were operated by the CRAF during the First Border War as an air superiority fighter. In the war it is credited with 40% of Reono’s A2A kills. It has mostly been replaced in that role by the SU-30, F-16, and F-15.
