If the goal of this redesign series is to be serious, than he shouldn't be nonsensically powerful like his Marvel Comics, Hanna-Barbara, Godzilla goes to Hell or Manga incarnations. A citybusting tier power level like in all the movies, is as powerful as Godzilla needs to be in all honesty. 

Goji can be ungodly powerful for a lifeform, but he should still feasibly be able to exist on Earth (and battle similarly powerful monsters) without destroying the whole planet due to said absurd levels of power. He also shouldn't be OP by kaiju standards either. The best Godzilla's are powerhouses, but other kaiju can at least give him a good fight.

And in cases like King Ghidorah, Destroroyah, Bagan and Spacegodzilla, they should be able to outright match or even surpass him in power. After all were would the drama in the story be if no kaiju could give him a good fight. Needlessly OP characters are boring, as they are never in any danger. 

The Godzilla franchise is NOT some absurd DBZ styled power-fantasy superhero epic. It's a series all about the mistakes of mankind, and how we cope with said mistakes. Godzilla's powerful, but mankind should theoretically be able to endure his attacks. A planet busting deity would just obliterate mankind, belittling the franchise's themes. 

Granted this is my personal thoughts of the matter.
