So I've seen a lot of ships in my day, right? Seen a lot of stuff. A fair amount of this stuff has naturally been Mr. Simmons pairings. Yep, I've seen everything from Simmons/Bliss, Simmons/Olga (which my mom ships (and how I didn't see that coming is beyond me)), and, of course, the ever popular Simmons/Wartz... Never minding the fact that Wartz is married and at least twenty years Simmons senior. Ahem.Now, me? I'm a bit of a rebel. This is a ship I've seen... oh, about 0% of in all the time I've been in this fandom, and it is *drum roll* Simmons/Peter... AKA his boyfriend.
Pretty wild, ain't it? Oh, I am out of control. Someone stop me.

This is a great drawing! At first I didn't get the "couple" vibe from them because couples just have this look, you know? Certain couples look good together and others don't and at first I thought these two didn't look like they belong together at all, but they totally do <3
I myself have some serious feels about Peter. I'm working on a couple fanfictions of these two, one of them being how Robert and Peter met, and their first couple of dates. And of course, Mr Simmons is the kind of guy who'd ask you about your hopes and dreams and the things you want (or wanted) to do in life.
For Peter, I think he had great dreams of being a ballerina. Like he's an amazing dancer, but especially well versed in Ballet. Sadly that never happened, so he had to settle for being a plain old dance instructor instead. But an injury left him unable to dance again because he never healed properly. I'm thinking a double whammy of back and knee injury at the same time. And now he's stuck at Big Bob's Beeper Emporium as a salesman. (Which I'm 92% sure is actually canon owo)

My God, PeterxRobert fanfics? With Peter as an ex-dance instructor/ballerina? Eeeee, that puts a whole new spin on Peter being pissy with Simmons for considering going to the ballet with Joy, fbajfba. I was thinking Simmons' mom wanted him to date Joy, and Peter just didn't want him giving in to her homophobia. Plus Peter was generally peeved that she kept trying to push his boyfriend at this woman who was so inferior next to him. Like Peter has a job and is generally very responsible and good for Robert, and Joy is always getting fired and getting her cars stolen, and yet still Pearl prefers her over him.
I'm sorry I just went into a tangent. I didn't think I'd get to ramble at anyone about these two. But I love the idea of Peter having unrealized dreams of being a ballerina. I could totally see that being canon, and it just adds to the blow of Pearl asking Robert to take Joy to the ballet. Ohhh, it's so juicy, I love it. I have to ask why you're so sure he works at Big Bob's Emporium, though! I find this intriguing.
In general, I'm just super excited to hear that PeterxRobert fanfics are gonna get written?!? I've been really wanting to write some stuff for these two, too, to help vent my feels, but I just have too many projects. You have to hook me up with a link when you post! I need more of these two in my life.

I was thinking of writing a fanfic where Mr. Simmons and Peter decide to get married, and Mr. Simmons' mother Pearl tries to stop the wedding from taking place. (She's heavily implied to be homophobic and disapproving of her son's relationship with Peter. If you listen carefully, the argument at Mr. Simmons' Thanksgiving - which Pearl instigates - is about Mr. Simmons and Peter's relationship.)

Yes yes yes, it honestly didn't even click in my mind when I thought of Peter being a ballerina that it would hurt him to hear Pearl ask Robert if he'd take Joy to see the ballet, but that makes everything ten times more painful!! Oh my heart.
The only reason I think he's a Big Bob's Beeper employee is because I saw it on the Arnold Wikia, but those can be edited by anyone so I'll take it with a grain of salt. I think about that a lot though, after his back and knee injuries he wasn't able to do a lot as far as work is concerned, so he figured he might as well take a job while he could get it. And it turns out he's a really damn good beeper salesman. He just has this charm that keeps people coming back.
I think one of the most painful things in the world is being really good at something you hate.
And you should definitely write your own fanfics if you can. I'd love to read them <3 Aaah, this is so exciting! Bonding over this gay ass teacher and his ballerina boyfriend.

Ahh, I remember seeing that on his Wiki. It's really weird that that's there--I wonder if he was ever sighted in earlier episodes?! I can totally see it, though. He seems like just the kind of guy Big Bob would keep around. Might help explain some of his attitude problems, as well. If you're gonna work under Big Bob, you've gotta have some backbone.
All this angst is amazing. I really must commend you, it's bringing me many feels to consider all this.
As I said, I have too many projects right now to take on anymore. I have been thinking about maybe writing a few drabbles, though... GAH, we'll see ;w; I'd love to have someone to bounce up and down with about these two, or just about HA! in general. I haven't been on Skype in a long-ass time, though - just got back into it since I saw you wanted to exchange info. I'm SuprSingr on there.

That's totally fine, school is the most important thing! (Well maybe in a logical sense...I definitely think watching Hey Arnold is more important than doing homework XD) So take all the time you need to do school work and then get online when you can uwu
Thank you so much tho I do try to work really hard on my angst because I love feels. I love tragic back stories; I love seeing characters get hurt. It makes me love them even more, especially if they act like huge butts and then you find out there's a reason why they are the way they are. I have so many feelings in general about Hey Arnold...we are gonna have a ball, you and I ;u;
