Wow! All that presis cutting would drive me insane. I have trouble cutting a straight line of wrapping paper. LOL! I know they make a type of mask that you paint on and rub off.

Thats the Liquid frisket masking, it also works just as well but you have to get a good layer coverage.
Tho most smells like shrimp i found the Moltovo brand is non smelling and goes on smooth but a bit thin.
I might do a How To on that one.

Cutting not to bad, takes a bit but the result is worth it. not that you need really straight lines on it as long as you have a thick line you stay in.

Yes. I used it a few times with watercolors. I ordered mine from an American site and it did not smell like shrimp. More like rubber cement.

Hmmm...most have a shrimpy smell to me. you know what brand it was?
It does the job well and works mostly the same as film but it does have more of a learning curve for some.
Plus the brush used gets gummy after each use so its heavy cleaning.
I use it and like the results, thier is a nice formula Moltovo has come up with for their pens i use tho thin it a quick use item.

No I forgot what it was called. I ordered it like 4 years ago and went through it all learning how to paint with water colors. I have not had a need for it since. All I remember was it came from America and was in a blue and white bottle. I remember when I opened it smelled like rubber cement paste and my brother throought the same. That's when I thought to myself "If its just rubber cement, I could have saved myself five tellenn and just bought that instead." (which I did and works the same way as masking paste)

But you are right, it did leave the brush gummy and hard to clean. So instead  of ruining brushes, I started to use Q-tips and tooth picks to brush it on instead. Later I read in a book that the artists author also used Q-tips as brushes to mask her work. Just need to make sure that's fine cotton hairs do not end up on your work as well.

I think i know which one it is, has a drama mask on it?

Q-tips and tooth picks are a good way to apply it.
Good tips as well.

Hmmm. I do not remember a mask on it. It could have. I got the idea of Toothpicks from a youtube tutorial on Watercolors. The Q-tips were my own idea. I am sure there are other ways of applying it as well that will not ruin expensive tools. Depending on the effect you are looking for.
