I like playing with mine too but some most of my X-men figures are still in package. Did you create the background or is it part of your house?

SurfTiki In reply to X-MEN323 [2013-01-10 17:36:24 +0000 UTC]

It was a old BBQ pit at the cabin i use to live at going to college, made for a great background.
With my figures i had a lot in the package till i either sold them to pay for college and heating or till i used them for photos like this.

Sentienal (spelling think is close).
Thanks!
It was a quick one, i missed a few x-men to put in it and the other giant Apocolise that i have as well.
Glad you liked how i did even tho i found a few things wrong with it.

"Sentinel"... That it!
Looks great to me. You've used that same background in other photos, what is that place?

BTW... I came across this image I thought you might like to ink, so that I might color it. Have a look and see what you think. [link]

Well i cant use it any more, its where i lived going to art college in Northern Califorina. Its a old 1950s BBQ pit thing, the state of this one as you can see makes for a outstanding background with dull earth tone colors and intresting but not over powering textures as well.
Now im back in Las Vegas Working and no long live thier and have to find new backgrounds to work with....still have a ton of older pics to still edit and post of that place.

And HELLS YEAH!!! I would so ink that and others of his work, thanks for turning me on to his pencils bro!
How ever its going to be awhile, i have work all this month (got on the load in and running of the Miss America contest here), after that my girlfriend and i are headed of till around the 17th or so of June....after that i should have time to go print it 11x17 and ink it for you no problem....(i still need Elements tho to do better stitching after i scan them as you see how mine are now with the recent ones).

Good luck finding backgrounds. I live in Surprise AZ, been here about almost 3 years now. I moved here from NYC.
Take your time with the inking, I'm in no rush. Got lots of stuff from the "comicartfans.com" link you gave me.
Right now I'm working on a "Western Ghost Rider and Gunslinger Spawn" image. Got a really cool western town image to use as a background. It should be pretty cool when finished.

Yeah, im still scouting LV areas...plus if im doing photos of toys i dont want to look to insane, so places with less traffic are better right now.
Ok, ill try and do a print stop soon, tho some i need to be bluelined....have to figure out how to do that as well with out access to Photoshop. maybe my old ACD software i can wing in to doing it.
Is that Gunslinger and western by Jimbo? Sounds like you'll have some fun on it, good luck!

The image I'm doing is by an artists named, Ray-Anthony Height... [link]

I have the "Jimbo" image as well, he's really good.

Do what you can with the inking and I really don't understand what bluelineing is or what it's suppose to accomplish.

Can't you download a trail version of PS? Not that it will help.

SurfTiki In reply to Geosammy [2012-06-17 05:40:03 +0000 UTC]

Well for inking if i print in normal grey tones it comes up in my scans as well ink so to change that i make them as what is know as bluelines, its a animation trick that comic artists use. The blue lines are non-photo blue and go away with the heavy contrast of the inks, the boards that comics are put on usally have the blue lines on the edge to show print repo and company thier made for.

As for PS i dont know where i could get a copy for my budget, plus my computer is a bit tight on room right now till i can get a bigger harddrive. I mostly need it to do minor things like stitching, blueline tranfers, and photo editing past what my old software does on here.
