Description This is still a work in progress. Basically I wanted to make a full 3d representation of the USS Enterprise (1701-D) with all of its internal systems.

It's in my huge pile of 'One day I should finish this' projects

If I go back to it, I'll probably start again from scratch as I've since had a few ideas to streamline to process

I think NewDivide1701 means the Whitefire blueprints - at one point they were slated to be the official ones, until Paramount decided to do their own. At least Whitefire didn't forget to put the arboretum in

Good work - it's a behemoth of a project you're taking on here

Was this from the Blueprints of the Enterprise-D or from the blueprints found on Cygnus-X?

I own the blueprints from Pocket Books (I think the ones on Cygnus-X are the same ones just scanned in). What I did was get the scans then sketched out the corridors and turbilifts to get the floor plan down, All the equipment I then made in 3dsmax. I'm thinking of increasing the transparency of the corridors and making the equipment less transparant, so you can get a better idea of where all the ships systems are.

I had to make some alterations to the plans though, since some of the equipment simply doesn't fit into the ship when you bring the plans into 3d, a good example of this is the aft torpedo launcher, its far to big to actually fit in the ship if you go by the deck plans.

Ah, yes. Now I recognize it. The problem I have with the blueprints from Pocket Books is that they looked more random with a lot of wasted space.

it's one of those projects thats in the 'I'll get around to it' pile. All I have to do is draw the rest of the decks for the saucer, then I need to tweak the textures and animate it.
