At sunrise. It was so very cold for March 1st, -25 C. There was an ice fog close to the ground._________________________________________________________________________

You are so right: when it is that cold, there is no human beings, no animals, no birds. Desolation is the proper term.
I was driving when I stopped to take this photo - in the middle of nowhere.
But we are going through and now, there is no more snow.

I´ve always was amazed how nature "practice" Rebirth through the winter and death.
Is a life lesson, we do not apply so often.
I think every year we should do the same: to just throw away the clutter making room for the new, to frozen and kill unnecessary feelings and things, old habits and to build something new and refreshing.
