Oh Fishsticks, If I could think of ANY cartoon character that’s really relatable to me, it would have to be this lovable turtle boi right here.

But anyways, since I don’t really have anything special to draw today, I just wanted to get out my mini sketchbook and draw a random picture of my favorite nerdy and neurotic turtle, Filburt Shellbach from Rocko’s Modern Life. 🐢 👓 Oh boy where do I start off with this? I remember being totally OBSESSED with drawing Filburt and I kinda missed drawing him nowadays so I felt like drawing him again since he’s been in my mind A LOT lately. Because why the hell not? He’s ALWAYS a fun character to draw! And I’m also sure you guys remember him very well from my past artwork! Filburt had always been my favorite character on Rocko’s Modern Life and he STILL is to this day. He NEVER fails to make me laugh when he always says “turn the page, and wash your hands” and “I’m nauseous”, just gets me every time! I’ve always loved him with his wife Dr. Paula Hutchison together and I honestly think they’re the best couple in cartoon history. I also loved his freak out moments he had on the show and it kinda reminds me of Ren Hoek from Ren & Stimpy when he had his freak out moments and I also think I’m the only one who thinks that Filburt kinda sounds a bit like Stimpy but slowed down. And in fact, I can do a really good Filburt impression too! Sometimes Filburt doesn’t know if he’s either a turtle or a tortoise (you can see in his speech bubble XD) but I most likely think he’s just a turtle. And since Filburt’s voiced by the awesome Doug Lawrence AKA Mr. Lawrence (another one of my favorite male voice actors), he did an AMAZING job voicing Filburt, I would LOVE to meet him, and I would DEFINITELY have to praise him for that. Doug even voiced Plankton from SpongeBob as well! Nonetheless, Filburt will always be my favorite cartoon turtle no matter what. 💛💚💙
