Not exactly a gun expert or anything, but the owner said it was an M4 and it matches the pictures I've seen of other M4s.

Again, not trying to start a debate about it or anything, you probably know more about guns than I do..

AR15's look exactly the same as an M4 and shoot the same caliber (5.56mm rounds). But when I saw the fire selector I noticed there was no full-auto option. Which makes it a civilian version of the M4, also known as AR15

Ah. Thanks for explaining that for me! I love guns, I'm great with handling them, but when it comes to remembering the different names and telling them apart, usually I'm rather lost.

yeah, it fires the same round as the M4 (5.56mm) but it's semi-automatic only. Still a great and fun little rifle. I got one myself [link]

ok, only had 10 rounds with an AUG A1 in same caliber (.203), very nice game

AR is civilian and M4/M16 is military name of it right?

AR is for civilian use, that's correct. But they are different rifles.. though they look alike

Completely agree: *Clip* ISN'T a loading mag but helps you adding bullet in the Mag and the mag goes in the well.

Bushmaster (at least the stock is). And, for the technical, it's neither an AR or an M4 because it's not a Colt.
