Yayyy, another reference sheet for a Guilt character! 8D
This time one of the most important, but least seen-- Sapiens. C:
I actually started this and drew the fullbodies like a month or two ago, then remembered them tonight and decided to finished, lol. OTL

Specifics about his body:

-Wolf head
-Rabbit ears
-Eld's deer antlers
-Hawk-like wings
-Leg's are based off of wolf bones, but not specified

The rest of him is primarily random.

Sapiens is, quite literally, the god of beasts within Lorn. As folklore states, the world was created by Ineo (essentially the embodiment of mother nature). She created the earth, the stones, the sky, and then the plants. The world that Ineo had created, however, was empty and unmoving. She desired mobile creatures such as herself to fill it.
But Ineo found creating even a single creature to be very difficult. With as much energy as she could focus, that was all that she could manage finally-- a single new beast. And even he was imperfect, with fleshless bones upon his frame.
Yet the new creature, Sapiens, was given his own gift of creation in turn. He was to be the creator of all creatures, the god of beasts.
He has made many mistakes through creating his creatures, but tries to find balance after every trial and error. Now Sapiens has drawn back from his ability to create, waiting for things to right themselves once more. Never before has such strong unbalance been forced by his hand, however. Humans are indeed the most defiant of his creations, and nearly a mistake in his eyes.
Drawn back from creating though, Sapiens is not wholeheartedly gone from Lorn. For although Sapiens is best known as the god of beasts, a creator, he is also commonly known to control the flow of souls.
As each creature dies, Sapiens guides them into their next life, experiencing a brief period of time in between where kinship is shared with the soul. In this instance, the soul remembers all past lives it has held, and sees everything it has experienced, everything with the world in a new light. This wise sense quickly fades once a soul has entered its new life, however-- and will not return until its next. Small changes of personality can happen over time through these instances, where souls reflect upon past judgement and try for a different future. Their new body is ultimately decided by Sapiens, however-- who will look upon the character of each individual's immediate last life, and put them into a body that, depending on circumstance and parents would best gratify or punish them for past deeds.
There are instances where things do not go as planned when it comes to these transfers, however. Near death experiences will often leave people with glimpses of Sapiens in their mind-- and possibly epiphanies, depending how far Sapiens led them. A near death experience is almost certain to result in a stillborn somewhere, where a creature's soul never met its new body.
People that have actually met Sapiens through near death experiences, though, are actually the only ones that know, 100%, what the god's eye colour is. Strangely enough, ignoring his odd body, the only part of Sapiens that is widely questioned and unknown by even folklore is his eye colour. Many suppose that it is green, both to match Ineo's, and to speak of life and renewal. Others say blue for the same reasons of renewal. Some suggest golden for his wolf-like head. Then there are though that believe brown or silver, simply to match the rest of his body.
But the true answer, that hardly anyone knows but for those graced by his actual appearance, is red. Many will deny that his eyes could be red, seeing it as too violent for a caring creature, but the red is actually symbolic of fire-- warmth, light, life.

Sapiens is not a species nor part of a species, but is a single individual unalike any other within Lorn. He and Ineo are both the only creatures that this can be said for-- both as ever living gods that serve to keep the world forever moving, Sapiens tending to the souls, and Ineo to the very weather and seasons.
Though Ineo is literally the creator of the world and Sapiens himself, she is given far fewer adoration than her son. Many creatures simply feel closer to the god of beasts than mother nature, looking onward during holidays to him, hoping that their loved ones are cared for.
