I've kinda wanted to make some good Gargoyles fanart for quite a while now, and today i was kind of in the vibe, reliving the first episodes. *nostalgic sigh* And since I'd already worked on the commission in the morning...
I was like WAT DA HECK, I'll treat myself with some random Gargoyles random art.Elisa Maza and good ol' Goliath here are converted into my style, somewhat more realistic. Goliath is not really my type of guy (I'm more of a Brooklyn kind of girl ), but I gotta admit he can be quite the gentleman. And man, when he cares so much, he's just too darn cute. Especially when he goes off bending lightposts in half out of annoyance.
Plus, their relationship is just beautiful and tender and all kinds of adorable.
Interspecies love.

My first OTP, or at least one of the firsts, your art is amazing and I love how you captured Goliath's warrior nature and managed to contrast it with Elisa's cunning personality <3

Goliath looks like a jacked Johnny Depp here lol Honestly, if there was a live action movie being made of Gargoyles, I'd choose Kim Kold to play Goliath. While to most people, he is just a bodybuilder, to the few that have seen his movies he is a beautiful actor. I feel like he could easily capture the physical stature and the ferocity of Goliath in battle, but also capture his gentle, philosophical, and sophisticated side as well.Β

Holy crap, I did not know that guy, but now that you mention it he does look a bit like Goliath. I find him a little old for the role though, but yeah, he's got the face haha

I've been rewatching Gargoyles (never got to see the whole series when it was first out, but I did know it and like it) thanks to the wonders of the internet, and these guys are great. Goliath looks like he has billy ray cyrus hair, though! boo! (that's not just because of your drawing... he DOES kind of have a weird mullet-type thing going on anyway. So does Demona.... but i digress....)
You've got such a great intensity happening with Goliath's eyes. And he looks so beautifully angular, too! Elisa looks great. Sort of cute, without being simpering. I like how she's pressed against him.
Also... Brooklyn ftw.
