The version of this in the manga and anime is actually really tragic... A girl has the power to turn anyone into toys by touching them and then give them certain rules that they absolutely have to obey. Also, everyone who knew the person before they became a doll lose every memory of them. Wives forget husbands, children forget parents.... As if that person never existed. This arc had a LOT of tears.
