To be honest with you - I have no Idea If they will make the next Obelix and Asterix a 3d or not.
Many have have go over to 3d, so maybe it would be an good idea.

Sure and you know how to manage a complete 3d scene, I can see... It's not something I have done before, except for 3D animatics. I relied a lot on camera mapping to put my paintings on 3d objects ^^
You seem to have learnt how to handle everything in Max, that's valuable
