Description
Browsing the interwebs I have found lots of old pictures of people riding moose like they would a horse. The websites say that in olden times, especially in Europe, people would raise the baby moose whos mothers were killed by hunters and the moose would grow up tame. I'm not sure how much I buy that story seeing as moose are one of the stupidest and most dangerous animals, but it is still interesting and I would give my first born child to have a tame moose.Texture from: :[link]

I'd rather ride a moose than a horse. It'd be more fun, 'cause they're a lot bigger!
Nice job on this drawing.

Sorry but if moose were stupid how could they be dangerous, I for one think all animals are not stupid they all have personality.

Their stupidity leads to their danger. Unlike most animals, moose will attack anything and everything regardless of the threat it poses to them. Most animals can tell if something is threatening them or is harmless. For example, a moose is more dangerous than a grizzly bear because a grizzly will only kill a person if they perceive them to be a threat to their food or babies but will otherwise back off as long as the person makes it clear that they are going to back off too. A moose on the other hand will blindly attack a person and kill a person for coming anywhere near it regardless of the situation. Don't get me wrong, I love moose and I think they're fantastic animals, but they don't have huge brains and they can easily kill you for no reason which doesn't make them the smartest animals in the world. Call it what you will but mindless killing isn't much of a personality trait.

Oh, it can be done. It takes a lot of effort and even the most tame moose can be very aggressive durring mating season. But Mooses can be tamed and ridden. But you have to be at least somewhere between WWII Veteren and Teddy Roosevelt brave inorder to do so effectively. Moose taming takes dedication, nerves of steel, and lots of love.

The russians did attempt to create a moose cavalry at some point. it did not go very well. Its not so much that moose are exeptionally stupid: most herbivores are. Its more that they are not gregarious animals, like horses or camels are.

Deep down in everyone's hearts, they'd see voting for a president who can ride a moose, wrestle a crocodile, while balancing the budget AT THE SAME TIME would be well worth the vote.
While at the same time retaining a sensitive side, cradling puppies in his free-time.

Moose actually are very stupid animals, and I love moose more than any other animal. They will attack something completely unprovoked if it is anywhere near them.

Iβve heard that story before too, and Iβm pretty sure itβs fake. Youβre drawing is really cool though. I love moose, so learning to ride one would be awesome. A nature preserve in Russia actually breeds a captive herd of moose. V Link V

Oh, and moose arenβt that stupid. If they were there wouldnβt be nearly as many moose in the world. Theyβre also not any more than any other large wild animal, and I would take a moose over a bear any day!
