Gorgeous!
I think, this style (black background with such flovers) called Gorodez. This is traditional art style in Russia.

Los colores son tan llamativos con el fondo blanco, anaden un poco de calor a la pieza creo yo.

I really like the stylization you have going in this piece and I LURVE the trees (birch are mah fav) and the expression on the woman's face is spot on.
A couple things to keep in mind:
(1) the first things people look at when faced with a piece dealing with humans is first the eyes (which you seem to have a good grasp on) second the hands (which, I can see from this piece, you need to push yourself to practice hand drawing. It's not hard since you have hands yourself.) and third the feet (like in this piece you don't have to draw feet if it's for a plausible reason such as a dress or very long grass, or even perhaps if your character is standing/walking/running etc. through water.) Feet were the toughest part of the human anatomy for me to learn. I couldn't tell you why i seem to have a pair of the... they were on sale the same day as this nice pair o' hands that my mother found at a flee-market :/
Anyway I can't critisize your horse (or spell critisize correctly for that matter) because I definatly suck ass when it comes to drawing horses and I usually avoid the beasts whenever possible.
I hope you found my blithering useful
