the bluehaired one is a boy , it's been a while since i did the falling snow fx, usually i call them dust since i use them even for a not snowing environment in the past but i've been using them less and go for other stuff instead, i spent some extra time to get a certain anime/semi realistic balance more to get a coloring style i like, i really like how they turned out in the end
