I like the black, myself; I like how the levels are adjusted such that it eats away at his arms and hands. I recall another tv-face dude in your gallery. This one works well. I have to agree that the legs don't seem to match... there's too much range in the luminosities, I think that's the problem... there's very high contrast on the body and head, and it makes it interesting and frightening. I think the floor looks good but the legs ought to have that burned-out, overbright look that the rest of him has.
Nice compositing. I like the hips. The composition is good as well.
